SourceSpan

Struct SourceSpan

Source
pub struct SourceSpan {
    pub start: u32,
    pub end: u32,
}
Expand description

The bytes of one source a node was read from: its extent in the file, markup included.

A source and the text of the nodes read from it are different bytes, because markup is not text. The span is the node’s extent rather than a character-by-character map, so a byte of the source lands on the node written there and not on a letter of it.

Fields§

§start: u32

First byte of the source the node was read from.

§end: u32

One past the last.

Implementations§

Source§

impl SourceSpan

Source

pub fn covers(self, byte: u32) -> bool

Whether a byte of the source falls in the span. The end is past it, so the spans of two nodes written one after the other answer for their own bytes and no others.
